Brother Brentwood

It takes more to belong to a motorcycle club than filling out paperwork, paying dues, and putting on a patch. You have to be committed and support the club. You have to ride out of state on occasion. The members of a club become family. You do all you can to help your family. If your club member needs help, you need to be there without hesitation, worry, or fear--just do it. Always have your brother's back. It takes time and money, but you need to be ready, willing and able to do whatever it takes. That's why most people don't want to be part of a motorcycle club. They don't want to be committed or give the time. We don't want wannabe's, patch collectors, or people lacking commitment. We want brothers we can depend on who are willing to do for the club whatever needs to be done. If you aren't ready and willing to do this, don't sign up. Don't start to prospect and hope you will slide in because you will not be accepted. Don't waste your time or our's.

Remember the members of this club have something special. Not many Americans can be part of this club. We are an elite class of Veterans. We served our country when it wasn't very popular to do so! It didn't matter if we were in-country, supporting, or serving wherever our government wanted us. We did it with pride and commitment. I believe that is why the members of this club support the military 100%. We've been there, done that. We understand what the soldiers are going through. We pledge NEVER, NEVER, NEVER have them feel what we felt. When you wear the patch, you represent all of us. GIVE RESPECT AND GET RESPECT. Be an ass and get treated like an asshole. We are committed to the brotherhood of the VOVMC and ride for those who can't. Ride safe and be proud of who you are! We are looking for more Brothers so if you would like to join us..just click the Join Up Here page. We need to remember our Vietnam Brothers... Brother Wolf

VoVMC Region 4 May newsletter

We have a lot going on for the month of May. We have a ride planned for May 4th thru the 6th, riding to Maggie Valley for the "Thunder in the Mountain Rally". It is sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America and all the proceeds go to the help local Veterans in that area. May 11th, 12th, and 13th is the "Boozy Creek Rally" sponsored by the Peacemakers MC. A portion of their proceeds go to the local EMS in the Kingsport, Tn area. May 19th the Alabama Chapter of the VoVMC is coming to Tennessee to have a little party at Scully's Bar & Grill. We will try to have enough food for Bro Dinky Dau and his Band of Brothers & Sisters. It's also rumored that our National Prez Baron may attend. May 24th, we are headed to Harrisonburg, then stopping in Bedford for the D Day Memorial, then on to DC, May 25th and 26th for the 25th "Run for the Wall" event, then back to Johnson City, TN to attend a "Memorial Day" event on Monday May 28th.

Ride safe and ride when you can!

VoVMC Region 4 April 2012 Newsletter

A ride is planned for Sunday April 1st to a bar near Greeneville, TN for a little April Fool's Run where we will have lunch at the Hyperion.

Easter Sunday we are riding to the Bobarosa for an Easter Egg Hunt with lots of prizes hidden in the plastic eggs and then off to Scully's for a late evening Easter Egg Hunt as well. Lots of prizes and fun with Scotty Melton playing on the deck. I usually have my own Easter Egg Hunt, but I can never find them after hiding them.

April 21st is the "Ride for the Red". The ride starts at Smith Bro's. Harley Davidson at 9:15. AM. The 130 mile ride ends in Church Hill. the ride benefits the American Red Cross.

Saturday April 28th the VoVMC's "1st Annual Yard Sale" will be held at Scully's Bar & Grill, already the merchandise is piling up. We are expecting a large turn out all proceeds will go to support our local Veterans.

Don't forget Bro Dinky Dau with his knee replacement surgery. Our thoughts are with him and hoping for a speedy recovery. Wishing everyone a "Happy Easter". Ride safe and ride when you can.

VoVMC Region 4 March 2012 Newsletter

The days are getting a little longer and the weather a little warmer, giving us much more time to enjoy riding. The winter has been very mild and hardly any snow, except for in the mountains.

We have a ride planned on St. Patty's Day and then a little get together for that nite. The Bama Bike Fest Spring Motorcycle Rally is March 16th - March 19th 2012 at Akers' Farm, Forkland, AL just west of Birmingham. "The Irish to the Bone" St. Paddy's Day Party and Bike Show is also March 17th in Chattanooga, TN at the Thunder Creek Harley Shop. The biggest event going on this month is the "Bristol Nascar Race" with about 160,000 people attending on March 18th.

Ride Safe and ride when you can.

Feb 2012 VoVMC Region 4 News

The EasyRiders 2012 Bike Show Tour kicks off this month in Knoxville, TN at the Convention Center Saturday February 4th. The weather, so far this winter, has been pretty good for riding, so there should be a good turn out for this event.

We are in the early stages of planning our ride to D.C. for the "Run for the Wall" event in May. At present we have ten members who have made their reservations. We are staying at the Hilton in Crystal City, VA. This year is the 25th anniversay of Rolling Thunder's "Demonstration". This will be the 10th year in a row that I have attended. It is a good tool to help with those of us who continue to struggle with "Post Tramatic Stress Disorder".

Bro Dinky Dau has signed up a new prospect and 2 support members down in Alabama and we have a new prospect in Tennessee and Ohio, as well as a new support member in Tennessee.

Ride safe and Ride when you can!
